Beezy and Me, Chapter 1

Wednesday, February 8th 2012 @ 10:29 AM    post viewed 191 times

(I wrote this chapter a year ago, when I was six. My mother gave me a challenge to write a story about meeting a character from a book.)

One day, I was reading a book called, Beezy Makes Trouble. I turned the page. On it, was Beezy. I wish I had a friend like that!  I thought. Just then, she began talking!

“You want a friend like me? Sure! Come on!” she stepped out of the book. What?!  I thought. Is this girl a real person or a book person?! “Okay! Sounds like fun!” I said sarcastically with a shaky voice. Slowly and carefully I stepped into the book. “So, wh-hat do you like to do here?”

“Well, I like to look up at the sky, look down at the pond, and catch birds! It’s lots of fun. But first, I want to introduce you to everyone.”

“Okay,” I said with a shrug.

Beezy led me to her house. “This is Grandma,” she said.

Beezy’s grandma smiled. “Who is this, Beezy dear?”

“Hi! I’m Rivka. Nice to meet you!” I said.

“Hello there, Rivka. Pleasure to meet you.” Beezy’s grandma said. She looked at Beezy. “Why don’t you show Rivka around a little bit?” she suggested.

“Okay. I was going to, anyway.”

I smiled.

“You ready?” Beezy asked.

“I’m ready when you are!” I chuckled.

Beezy led me outside and we walked, and walked, and walked....

To be continued!
